Your boy is gonna be in another art show. See while I was walking around today I noticed a sign in the local skate shop advertising a art show next week. So I went inside asked if they were looking for artists and then they asked if they could see my stuff so I broke the portfolio and I was in! Now I just have to come up with something hot for next week.

And now to check on my Chicken Tikka Masala and brown rice.

So I started drawing this and before I started mentally editing I just decided to let my pencil go where it was gonna go. See yesterday I was working on a drawing that was totally the opposite. I basically was tracing over myself correcting mistakes as I traced new versions of the drawing. I had always wanted to try that old school style of building an illustration and so I did. But it can get tedious so that is why I went in the opposite direction this morning. I might make a really drawing out of this though since its been awhile since I drew a Batgirl. And the one that I ended up doing sucked...

I've been thinking that I should really try to be more focused or what I'm producing artwise. So in an effort to do I'm gonna try and post where I am with my projects. Right now I'm laying out my next musician piece after spending a massive amount of time doing research. See, when I do one of these things I like to not only get a feel for what the person looks like but what their music feels like as well. Sadly the artist that I chose to draw is a bit underground. But oh well. I'm also working on a personal piece which is in the early layout stage. Then I have a semi-personal fan art thing that is stuck in the beginning color stage, I'm cleaning the line art up on that one. I actually plan to do a few more fan art crowd pleaser sort of things in an effort to make a name for myself. I need to get more peoples attention and the best way of doing that is by creating images that have a built in audience. My stuff isn't so techncially dazzling that people are just gonna love it for itself sadly enough. Which is actually fine by me because there are artists out there who aren't as good as I am that get a lot of attention. I just have to get some attention for myself : )

I also need to start doing some comic pages..I know this. But I want to get a few more musician pieces out of the way first. I feel like my stuff is too scatter shot for anyone to really be able to focus on anyone thing that I do. So I'm trying to create more of a focused body of work for people to be able to have a better grasp of what I do.
